Fly Fishing 101

The Reno Fly Shop has created a fully customized and unique Fly Fishing Education Program. We have started with our successful private lesson curriculum and adapted it to the group environment.

FF101 will introduce the new/beginner student to basic concepts to undestand gear (what and why), knots and casting stroke. This class is 1 hour and takes place at the Reno Fly Shop. All necessary equipment is provided.

FF101 is required to take our FF201.

Price: $25/student to register. Given a $25 gift certificate at time of class.

When: These are 1 hour classes held in the Reno Fly shop from 7-8am on the dates identified below.

Your instructor will call you the Friday before the class between 4-6pm at the number you provide during registration.

Where: The entire class is held at the Reno Fly Shop (238 S. Arlington Ave.)

Who: Space is limited to 6 students

Our classes, FF101, FF201 and FF301 are group lessons offered by our in-house guide/instructors. Reasonably priced and information dense these date specific courses allow the students to get themselves ready for a fun day on the water. These classes are space limited so registration is required.
