Fly Fishing 201

The Reno Fly Shop has created a fully customized and unique Fly Fishing Education Program. We have started with our successful private lesson curriculum and adapted it to the group environment.

FF201 builds upon our FF101 (required pre-requisite) and will pick up where that class leaves off. After a quick review of the basics the student will be exposed to the following topics;

• • Review of to fly rods, reels and lines and their different applications

  • Essential knots and rigging - with the opportunity to tie your own and which knot to use when.

  • Fly selection and how these change seasonally and even through the day.

  • Basic casting at a local park on the grass.

FF101 is required to take our FF201.

Price: $100/student to register. Given a $25 gift certificate at time of class.

When: These are 2.5 hour classes held at a local park near the Reno Fly shop from 10-12:30pm am on the dates identified below.

Where: local park near the Reno Fly Shop. Will be notified by the instructor before the class date

Who: Space is limited to 6 students

Our classes, FF101, FF201 and FF301 are group lessons offered by our in-house guide/instructors. Reasonably priced and information dense these date specific courses allow the students to get themselves ready for a fun day on the water. These classes are space limited so registration is required.
