Orvis Hydros Fly Reel
The Orvis Hydros has been a go-to workhorse reel for years, and this latest version makes it tougher and easier to live with. A fully sealed drag keeps grit and water out of the drag system, the large arbor picks up line fast, and the ergonomic drag knob is easy to adjust with cold or wet hands. You can switch between left- and right-hand retrieve without tools. The frame and spool are Type II anodized aluminum, and the handle is machined aluminum. Three sizes cover trout streams, stillwater, and bass and light saltwater.
