Brett Jensen designed this skating dry fly on his home water, the Klamath River, and it's become one of the go-to surface patterns for summer and fall steelhead across the Pacific Northwest. A foam lip creates a consistent wake on the swing that triggers aggressive surface strikes, while the compact #7 profile solves the most common problem with bigger skaters — fish pushing the fly instead of eating it.
