The Split Case BWO is tied on a straight shank hook with a tungsten bead. This pattern imitates Blue Winged Olives and other mayfly nymphs very well. The yellow hot spot signifies an emerging mayfly and fishes best towards the early stages of a hatch. This is a staple throughout the winter months on the Truckee River and other local waters.
