Created by Carl Bird in 1959 to be used on the Truckee River in California. This searching nymph can represent several different aquatic insects. It’s “messy” appearance traps air as you cast and releases bubbles in the water which gives the impression of life, while the wood duck tail and collar move well in the water for added lifelikeness.
Most often fished as a dead drift, we suggest you try swinging or try fishing it on the dangle.
