Summary Cattleguard is located 6.8 miles south of the Y. This requires a steep walk down from the parking area but provides a deep drop within mere feet of the bank. Cattleguard fishes best in the Early and Middle parts of the season. Indicator rigs work well here, while stripping rigs are limited as a result of the steep ledge above the bank and reduced backcast space. Many big fish are caught each year at Cattleguard.
