Details: Matt Cullen will demonstrate and walk you through getting the most out of a castable sonar at Pyramid Lake and other stillwaters. Additionally Matt will have a Q&A on his approach for fly fishing at Pyramid Lake through the winter.
Summary
Pyramid Lake and stillwaters in general can be a bit intimidating to approach as a fly angler. Where to start, what tactics to employ and where to fish are among the many variables that must be considered. Recently castable sonar has eliminated some of the guesswork.
The Garmin Stiker with and without GPS is a castable sonar device that not only allows you to determine where the bottom and drop off is but with the right conditions it can help you predict whether there are fish in the area you are fishing.
