The East Walker hosts tremendous bug life and a high density of wild trout. Both Rainbow and Brown Trout inhabit the East Walker with the occasional Mountain Whitefish. These fish grow fast as they feed on aquatic insects, other fish, and terrestrials such as grasshoppers.
We focus our efforts on the Nevada side of the East Walker. The stream meanders through the high desert with a surprise around every bend. Many methods are effective on the East Walker including dry fly fishing, streamer fishing, and European Style Nymphing. There are a variety of water types available on the East Walker, making for a challenging and rewarding experience.
As the weather warms up, fish on the East Walker begin to look up. Prolific hatches of midges and some mayflies start most mornings off. In spring, you can expect to see caddis as well on the sunny days. The dry fly fishing can be great if you catch it on the right day. The fish below was caught on a large foam dry fly.
We have multiple guides available during these days and can help you set up a group trip. The price is $595 per day for 1-2 people.
