It is time again for our call for volunteers to support our annual cleanup of the Truckee River. This is in support of the communicty wide cleanup being headed up by Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB).
We take the lead on walking rafts down different sections of the Truckee while pulling debris and litter from the banks and bottom. Often we are able to get at stuff the bank crews can not.
We are in need of volunteers to participate in teams of 2-4/raft. Volunteers should be prepared to lift heavy wet items, navigate wading long sections of river bank and help make the Truckee River just a bit better than when we start.
Event Details
We'll be removing litter from the river and surrounding areas. Volunteers should bring work gloves and dress appropriately for being we for several hours. Waders and studded boots are encouraged.
