Early Pyramid Lake Update
Anglers have been reporting fish being found through the entire water column. Depths have varied between 60 feet and 6 feet. To state the obvious, it is largely dependent on availbility of feed and behavior of trout around them. That being said, there have been quite a few fish caught from shore on the southern beaches throughout the day. On these days/beaches stripping has been the most productive to search the entire area. Good searching flies have been the Belly Ache Minnow, Pyramid Lake Bugger and Mopcorn Beetle. If your arm is tired once the fish are found it has worked to change over to the floating line and fish flies with similar profiles while suspended under an indicator, such as, Jiggy Fat Minnow, Balanced Chub and TB Balanced Leech.
