Here is your OTW for late September from the Truckee River by Reno Fly Shop guide, Charlie Robinton. The Truckee River is transitioning into Fall conditions.
With cooler temps trout are focussing on small bugs, Blue Winged Olives, Midges and a few remaining caddis. It is a great time to get out.
Flies we suggest: Ready Baetis, Olive Hot Spot, French Nymph, RFS Perdigon (black), BH Zebra Midge, Griffith Gnat, Pullover BWO, Carot, Thread Quill, TNT BWO

The annual KTMB Truckee River Clean Up Day is this Saturday (9/26). We handle the water portion of the cleanup. We use our rafts and walk down the riverbanks removing litter and trash from the bushes and bottom of the channel. We always need volunteers.
