Your OTW report from Pyramid Lake! The lake is at 52°F. The LCT are eating their traditional feed for this time of year.
Balanced leeches have been very productive in darker colors. While the retrieve bite has slowed on clear days it picks up noticeably during the stormier periods.
We have dates available in December and during peak season. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to catch a once in a lifetime trout!!
Flies we suggest for Pyramid Lake: Balanced Leech, Balanced Chub, Holographic Midge, Micro Holographic Midge, Pyramid Lake Bugger, Mopcorn Beetle, Tadpole

Truckee River
The flows didn't jump too high with the rains this week. Conditions actually improved slightly by having the flow get a bit of color to it. Current flow at the Reno gage is just over 500 cfs and steady. This should be a great weekend and short holiday week to get out and enjoy some time on the water.
The egg bite is stiill good when paired with a heavier stonefly. Fishing worms when the water is off color is the way to go. Best to pair the Squirminator or Squirmy Worm coupled with a Jigged Streamer in a darker color.
Flies we suggest for the Truckee River: Trout Beads and Peggz, Emma Stone, TJ Hooker, Squirminator, BH Squirmy Worm, Carot, Fire Starter
