Rio Products (Fly Lines) has begun to produce a “how to” series on fly fishing tactics, techniques and setups.
Episode 1 shares some tips, tactics and gear for fly fishing one of our favorite fall/winter searching patterns on the Truckee and Carson Rivers, the Soft Hackle.
The Soft Hackle can represent a pile of different bugs and their life stages. One of our favorites is fishing them in the surface film behind a dry fly to represent a drowned adult or emerger.
If you want to take a look at some patterns here in the shop or discuss our approach to Soft Hackles swing by or give us a call.
Have a great day!
