We are excited to bring to you a new distraction to your daily commute, slow time at work or driving to your next fly fishing adventure. We plan to produce a bi weekly podcast that you can download straight to your phone or tablet or listen online that will be a fun and informative source for lots of things about fly fishing.
This will be our chance to keep you up to date with things that are happening, could happen or are just fun to think about. We will introduce you to many of the topics and characters that are influencing the fly fishing industry in our area and beyond. We will always include an audio fishing report, new things we have in the Reno Fly Shop and our events calendar so you can stay involved.
Episode 001 – The Little Truckee River Habitat Improvement Project with Dave Lass, CA State Field Director with Trout Unlimited
Dave will let us all know the timeline of the upcoming work on the Little Truckee River. Spoiler alert, the project will start August 15 and go through Sept 1. TU is going to install a bunch of great new logs and rocks to give the fish more spots to go and to spread out some of the pressure on the LT. During the project period, mid August to early September, the water will be very low on the LT. Here is a link to the flow on the LT.
The project will be focused between Lower and Middle Meadows. Here are some maps of what and where things are going to happen.
