Winter Tying Series – Wednesday nights March 11, 18, 25 at 6:30 – Our winter tying series continues this month with Mike showing you how to some of the most popular Pyramid Lake flies. Each night Mike will pick one or two patterns and go through all of the steps to tie your own. This will include flies like the Pyramidge, Maholo Midge, etc. Cost is $30 per class and will include the material to tie the flies. Call or stop by the shop today to sign up.
Introduction to Fly Fishing – Saturdays March 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 10:30 – Our Introduction to Fly Fishing is the class to start fly fishing or to sharpen your skills before the summer season starts. A four hour class that will cover casting, knots and rigging, streamside and fly fishing. We will start at the Reno Fly Shop and then finish up at the Truckee River. The class will be limited to 4 participants so it is best to sign up early. All necessary gear (excluding waders) will be provided. Cost for the whole class is just $100 dollars. WTF (Women That Fly Fish) Clinic #2 – Saturday March 28 at 10:30 – This will be the WTF (Women that Fly Fish) Clinic #2. #1 was a huge success. We covered all topics of fly fishing. Gear, entomology, stream side approach, casting and fly fishing in the Truckee River. This is a special event that has skilled instructor/guides, catering and everything to make the day special. The cost is $200 and includes all gear (excluding waders), class materials, catering breakfast and lunch and guides for the fishing portion. Class participation has to be limited to 10 ladies.
