Mike was able to put together another fly tying tutorial for you. This month’s video shows you a summertime classic. The Chubby Chernobyl. The classic fly that looks part stonefly, part hopper and part giant foamy thing. Regardless of its blurred identity it works on waters all over the West.

Hook: Firehole 718 #8, #10 and #12

Thread: 140 Denier or 6/0

Foam: 3mm foam

Body: Ice Dub – Callibaetis and UV Shrimp Pink – experiment with different contrasting colors and let us know what works for you.

Flash: Pearl Krystal Flash 

Wing: Para Post White

Legs: Grizzly Barred Rubber Legs Medium White (again experiment with alternate colors and let us know what works).
