Introductory Class for Beginner and Intermediate Tyers

Learn to tie your own flies for fishing our local waters. This introductory class is taught by Reno Fly Shop guide and instructor Mike Anderson. Mike will cover all of the basics of fly tying, tool use, and material selection. You will go away with several flies that you will be able to use on our local rivers and streams.

Intermediate and Advanced Tyers

Want to tie one of the best Stonefly Nymphs out there? Jan Nemec will tie one of his signature patterns, the Nemec’s Stonefly. This is a heavy buggy fly that will get a trout to eat in just about any condition. This is a somewhat involved fly so we recommend this class for intermediate to advanced tiers. Attending our Introductory class is enough experience.
