Changing conditions, some return competitors, willing fish, etc. but numbers don’t lie… The Truckee River gave up some great numbers during the first week of Fall League.
Week 1 of the Fall League saw a dramatic change from Week 1 of Summer League. During our inaugural season the entire field was blanked. That was 10 anglers going out in late June during high water and not touching a fish. Flash forward to this past Saturday and we have a very different story to tell.
The biggest change from the Summer League were the great flow conditions in the Truckee River. The river was in really great shape with cooling Autumn temperatures and an early Saturday morning start.
Same format as the first season. Random pairings assigned random beats and given 45 minutes to put as many fish over 8″ into the net with the accumulative inches the final scoring. We have a total field of 14 anglers this season with pre-registrants and drop-in spots available.
