George Daniel – Nymphing and Streamer Workshops – Nov. 4th and 5th

Sep 19, 2017 | Classes, Events, Reno Fly Shop, Technique

We are excited to announce that George Daniel will be back here in the shop to teach again for us.  Last year George showed us the inner workings of ESN (European Style Nymphing) and those in attendance came away with great tools to tackle the Truckee River.

This year George will teach his new and updated ESN workshop but also spend one day showing us how to effectively fish Streamers in the variety of water types we have on the Truckee River.

Registration is now open and limited to 6 students per class. We will start a waiting list after these classes fill up. Payment in full is required when you sign up. Waiting list folks will only be required to pay once their spots are filled.

Dynamic Nymphing with George Daniel

When: Saturday – November 4th – 8:30-3:30

Where: Will start in the Reno Fly Shop and move to the Truckee River

Cost: $195/student – $350 for both classes

Details: Fishing without an indicator. Fishing without an indicator is not difficult but it does require understanding a few simple principals including body position, proper fly placement, and of course reading the drift. This class will focus on those basic principals along with equipment, patterns, and rigging.

The class will be broken into two parts (inside and outside). The inside component will entail a brief classroom session where George will discuss patterns, rigging and breaking down specific scenarios and discussing how to approach them with a nymphing rig. The outside component will be putting the information to the test on the water. You will also be spending time working with George one on one to improve your game.
