The Reno Fly Shop Event calendar has been updated and we are really excited about what is going on.
Czech Nymphing wit Mike Sexton – April 11 and 18
Many have asked for a class on Czech style nymphing and we have finally scheduled two this month. April 11 and 18 you will have the chance to learn from one of the area’s best, Mike Sexton. Former U.S. Fly Fishing Team Member he will show you what he has learned from the European innovators of fly fishing with nymphs Mike has extensive experience with the various European styles of nymphing that have been blended into the super effective Czech style.
Mike will cover equipment, leader construction, fly selection, how and when to fish this style on the Truckee River and beyond.
The class will be limited to 6 participants so it is best to sign up early. All necessary gear (excluding waders) will be provided. The class will start at the Reno Fly Shop and end up on the Truckee River.
Cost for the whole class is just $100 dollars.
Fly Tying Class – Czech Nymphs – April 8, 15, 22 and 29
Our fly tying series continues this month with Mike showing you how to some of the most popular Czech style Nymphs. Each night Mike will pick one or two patterns and go through all of the steps to tie your own. This will include flies like the Jigged Assassin, Vladi Worm, etc.
Cost is $30 per class and will include the material to tie the flies. Call or stop by the shop today to sign up.
